Hols in Brazil

The past 3 weeks, I've spent on holidays in Brazil. I left Colombia on May 28th for São Paulo were I met up with Karolina - an old friend who came all the way from Sweden to keep me company.

As I took more than 300 photos, it'll probably be a while before I've edited them all to my satisfaction. So I thought I would make it a sequel instead. Through this link you can see the photos from our first two days in São Paulo before we took off for Brasilia.

SP is somehow reminding me of New York. I guess it's because of all the skyscrapers. I had photos of them too, but as I was robbed of one of my cameras (story to follow in a later chapter of the sequel!) I don't have them anymore. Instead you get to enjoy pics from the art museum "La Pinoteca", in a restaurated old abandoned house that used to be in ruins; the municipal market where I had the most meat packed sandwich of my life (I still get a bit queazy thinking about it - I never ever want to have mortadella again!).

The little brown monster that appears in some of the pics is our travelling mascot Kalle.

You should be able to view the pics here

To follow is the tale of the least hospitable city I've ever been to and the terrible account of how we were robbed at gunpoint in Salvador...
